Well, I've finally done it - I'm the 11th person to join the 1000 club!!
I thought that for my 1000th post, I'd give a quick recap of why I came here, and then some thank you's.
I first joined back in March 2006 because I was approached about a job in Dubai, so I thought I'd better find something out about it. Most of you are very very knowledgeable and helped me out a great deal, either by reading some of the old posts, or by answering some of my daft questions!! You're all very special people and I feel honoured to be a part of it all.
As most of you know, I came over to Dubai at the end of April for a look around and for a couple of interviews. Didn't get the main job I went over for (with hindsight, I'm quite glad actually), and I'm still waiting to hear back from the other job. That's something I have learnt - nothing happens quickly in Dubai!!
Anyway, I fell in love with Dubai and I really would love to get a job and move out there (anyone need an accountant?? :lol:)
I have some special thank you's to some people that have made me especially welcome to the forum and are a credit to this forum:
Arniegang - well, what can I say about this guy?? Everyone should have an arnie as a friend!! I feel truly priveledged to have got to know him just a little bit!
DK - keeps me laughing with his witty comments and posts!
Fayz - without Fayz there would be no PSP shortage and possibly no DFM !!
Constantine - Thanks for all your relationship advice!! We could call you the Love Doctor!! :lol:
Alexandra/Raidah - Thanks to you two for all the advice and flirting!!
Liban - well, every forum needs a Liban!! Someone who'll argue that black's white!!

Ok - loads of you I've missed and I'm sorry, but the memory is not good at this time in a morning!!
So it just remains for me to say:
Where's my Plasma Screen TV?? I posted as quickly as I could in the hope I'd get the TV in time for the World Cup!! :lol:

Look up the user "Hiya" and have a look at some (all) of her posts. You may want to have a bullet at the ready in case the effects start to take a hold on you.
