Hi there, I have been working with a big company for more than 3 years, due to the financial crises here in Dubai, they have terminated me last month, now my question now is, how many months by Labour Law they still have to pay me? They are telling me only 1 month (this is the resigning period in my contract) but I heard from friends they have to pay for me 3 months.

can someone tell me something about the following please?
1. what is the longest period of fixed term contract of employment that one can negotiate in dubai?
2. what happens if employer terminates contract of employment before the expiry of the contract?
3. is it possible to put in a clause in the contract that should 2 above occur employer will have to pay penalty which is higher than that required by law?
4. is it possible to put in a clause in the contract that should 2 above occur, employer will have to give you the NOC?
any advice is greatly appreciated
