Hello,
I would like to know which are the best supermarkets in Dubai?
Are there any differences in prices in different supermarkets?
Thank you.
Jamal
well da best supermarket in dubai to my opinion would be spinneys an i guess we got something like 5 spinneys or something in dubai right an 2 in sharjah
and well there is much of a price difference between stores like lets say maybe only 50 fils or a dirham here an there like if something is for 20 dhs in this store and its 19dhs in another store then there will be something that is 19dhs in store a and 20dhs in store b
hope u got that

I think the best bread in Dubai is at Park N Shop. Their bbq chickens are mush bigger than those at Spinneys but are more expensive at 11dhs...but worth it.
Park N Shop is near JPS
I do my big shop at Spinneys. Co-op opposite safa park has pretty good fruit and veg and their prices on most things are less too.

The supermarkets are Carrefour (which has a website BTW), Geant, Spinney's, Choithrams, Union Coop and Park n Shop. There are others like the one at the top of Lamcy...is that Al Maya?? Not sure, and I've seen LuLu advertised too. Spinney's is expensive in my opinion but has everything (and I am not talking a few fils or a Dirham difference, for example Baskin Robbin's is DH5 a 2 litre tub MORE at Spinney's than Union Coop!! ) Union Coop doesn't sell pork products or cigarettes. The best bread I think comes from Park n Shop and they have nice brown bread and rolls, also freshly squeezed OJ and fresh watermelon and carrot juice. Choithrams also has a wide range. Union Coop I go to has great fish. Some people prefer Carrefour and say it is overall the cheapest-personally I find it too busy and extremely slow going through the checkout even when you are only third in line-the staff are usually in a state of suspended animation....Hope this helps!! :)
