At the risk of being made fun of, Im going to go ahead and ask if theres anyone on here who even remotely collects stamps. Im at an amateur level but theres something satisfying about looking through albums of stamps you collect. I know ... its an old ladys hobby. But I dont think I care :D Anyone??

I do. And the lack of post offices in Dubai makes it absurdly difficult here.

When family and friends know you like to collect stamps they collect and keep some for you, thats how I get mine. Now I just need to exchange 'em coz I got loads of duplicates and nice ones too. My most prized ones are elvis and an entire page of queen elizabeth (you know those different colours) & an entire page of christmas stamps...Feels good to look through those stamp albums.
How does everyone take out the stamps?

well I am, I have a good collection but I stopped increasing my collection as I became very busy but i do have a good set of stamps and coins also.

Collecting stamp is a nice hobby. Stamps with historical value are expensive, and some are limited to stamp collector's club.
I used to collect stamps. I lost interest when my mother accidentally burned some of the albums that I kept inside the old bookshelves. I have donated the remaining stamp albums to a foundation during their fund raising event.

The main post offices (in Karama for Dubai) have philatelic counters, you can join a UAE stamp club through Emirates Post.
