I hope you guys could enlighten me with some answers to these questions.
Thanks in advance.
1.
Is Dubai under Shariah (Islamic) Law? or a different law exists for this emirate?
2.
Is it true that sharing of a flat/villa/apartment between a male and female is not allowed?
3.
Is it true that a bachelor cannot rent his own flat/villa?
4.
I've seen articles that public display of affection is considered "haram" in Dubai.
If a male and female go out on public together, what "acts" are not allowed?

1 yes
2 technically no but dont worry about it, its not uncommon
3 untrue
4 Just use common sense and be respectful, many tourists "hold hands" in the malls whilst shopping.

Possible? Yes, and common.
Legal? Not in "family areas" but a law that is mostly ignored.

It is true. Legally male and female are not allowed to share an Apartment. But it is not uncommon to share apartments between male and female.

YES! TO VERY LARGE EXTANT DUBAI IS UNDER SHARIA LAW , BUT IT IS NOT STRICTLY IMPLEMENTED . DATS THE ANSWER OF YOUR SECOND QUESTION ,MEANS TWO UNMARRIED PEOPLE CAN NOT SHARE A FLAT VILLA OR ROOM. BUT YOU CAN FIND PEOPLE DOING SO AT VERY LARGE SCALE . BACHELOR CAN HIRE A FLAT THOUGH A PROPOSED LAW IS UNDER CONSIDERATION AGAINST THIS. AN OPEN EXPRESSION OF LOVE IN PUBLIC IS NOT ADVISABLE HERE. BUT LIGHT GESTURE OF LOVE IS ALLOWED LIKE HAND IN HAND IS NOT A PROBLEM . :love8:
