Hi ....
I have been in Dubai for over two weeks now on visit visa seeking a job, I spend some time daily finding out what should be the minimum salary that I should accept.
I have already been to 3 interviews, and turned down a job that was comission based with AED 4,000 basic salary (with max 3000 bonus), from what I found out on the net 7000 wouldnt be enough to survive here, given that I wouldnt be sure of making it to 7000.
I am single and would buy a car after getting a job.
So how much would the following come to:
1.Renting an apartment/flat (1 bedroom)
2.Car installments
3.Fuel
4.Phonecalls (including international)
5.Internet & Cable Tv
6.groceries/electricity/water
7.anything else u cant think of
From the very few people I know, they said i could make it with 10k
Although I am UK qualified, I dont have alot of experience so I'm not expecting a very big salary.
Appreciate your help guys.

Just put things into perspective 6750 Dhs = £1000
That amount is considered a school leavers salary in UK.
The figures speak for themselves.

Rent is the big one and I think you'd be in debt just with rent unless you rent a room and even then it would be more than tight. Car rental is cheapest at 1200 to 1500 per month, so if you want to eat I'd say no.
