• Street, town, suburb, industrial, immediate surrounding area and National Key Point patrols
• Attending to scenes of crime, obtaining statements and immediate investigation of crime
• Riot Control Functions
• Enquiries functions, compilation of warrants for arrest, tracing of and arrest of accused
• South African Narcotics Bureau – development of informer circle and investigation and arrest of illegal dependence producing substances dealers and persons in possession of dependence producing substances. Dealing with contravention of the Liquor Act matters.
• Stock Theft Unit – investigation of theft of stock on farms and plots within the district
• Crime Prevention and roadblocks on an irregular basis.
