I have a query about the school transportation.
I have registered my two sons in a school, which seems to have a good reputation according to my research. Not only the tuition fees have increased this year, the transport ones did as well. I
I will have to pay DHS6000 for a 3Km trip, almost the same as people coming from as far as 25 Km away. I feel this is unfairly expensive. Therefore I decided to try and find my own transport, a private company or something. Can anyone advise on this matter please.

My suggestions,
Are you near a hotel? if so, go into and take one of their taxis somewhere and ask the driver if he is willing to do the ride for you everyday. Most of this guys work 12 hrs so they could do both rides. If you pay 20 dhs each trip (40 daily) which is a lot more than the meter (but worth the reliabilty), then it would be 960 dirham a month driving them 6 days a week. You will also have the driver's direct # to call.
Othewise, set up a daily pick-up and delivery thru the cab company (may not do because of the short run - so the above option).
Get three parents to pool together and even pay one of the parents for driving all the kids. Or hire someone on a monhtly basis and it would be cheaper!
