check out shops in the malls.
Don't forget you also need to get the CD or DVD with the area/city/country/region road maps...

im not sure if you can find those here though.....alot of my friends order them or get them from the states and UK when they travel

No, you get them pretty easily.
GPS systems - not a big deal.
Thing is if you're friends buy them from abroad...where do they get the software/maps for this region?
I know for a fact you can buy the systems - portable as well as installable in cars.
