Does anyone know how to get to the sandfalls on the way to Hatta?
Can you see them from the road or you have to make a turn? If so, is there any sign?
Thanks.

I drove to Hatta only this week and i have not heard or seen any signs for "sandfalls". In fact i dont even know what it is. Can you be a bit more specific please.

I've seen the picture of "sandfall" in "Off Road in the Emirates" book. Complete with the map and GPS coordinate. But I think you need 4x4.
It's like a small cliff where the sands fall down like a waterfall. Though it's said it depends on the weather (wind) and time. I want to go there as well. Would be great for photography.

Thanks XTY.
I'll get that guide and try to find the sandfalls.
Hope I don't get stuck in a dune or get lost in the desert.

arniegang, please confirm if it really needs 4x4 or a sedan will just (toughly) fine? I mean, you're answering Choc's, right? (Hatta pools)

you definately need a 4x4 mate, more so a proper one because clearance is vital.
Play ones like the X5 and the Volvo wouldn't hack it.
They would survive on the tracks but not driving down into the wadi's etc.
It needs to be a Nissan Patrol,Landruiser, Jeep or Land Rover etcetc
Oh and sump, radiator and transmission guards are recommended too
