Rust proofing - necessary?

xty So it rains only couple of times in a year. If we don't drive the car on the beach sand, is rust-proofing still necessary in Dubai? Is it necessary to apply to a new car? How much the cost approximately?
busser Advice is not to rust proof your car... there is no rust issue here. Cars are very well protected against the elements these days.... Also, Rust proofing creates a lot of mess under the car an bonnet because all dirt sticks to it; really not nice over time.... If you want to spent money, paint protection is better, but only if your car is at least one year old..... Best of luck with your car.... Ewald gtmash Many parts under the car do rust. All my current cars ('87, '90 and '02) have bits of rust underneath. But it's all superficial surface rust and won't affect the working of the car during its lifetime.
