Also, how far is Ras-Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah from Dubai ? thanks

Dude, you have posted in here that you are a well qualified IT person. Here is a thought: employ some of those skills to get on the internet and do a bit of research. Ever heard of google earth? It will give you the distances to within a foot. Each of those Emirates you mentioned has at least one english newspaper with classfieds (on the net). Again, the Internet would be a good place to start specially for a IT "savvy" person like yourself.
