Hi,
I have a recently canceled my DIC visa, My new company in dubai is trying hard to get a residence visa but it is not getting approved, they say that my name is in the black listed names so it is getting rejected, what is the solution to this? Will I be able to get a residence visa?
Regards,
Yousuf

You may ask the PRO of your employer to approach directly to the immigration office residence division and inquire why you were blacklisted. Sometimes, people who don't do anything wrong were in the blacklist catergory due to mistaken identity, system or manual error in the immigration. You can't go there by yourself otherwise, they will hold you or worst detain you (God Forbids).
Also, you were put in the blacklisted category as per your previous employer request or whatever case they filed against you. You may also check this one. It could also be, your previous employer didn't properly process your cancellation papers and it appears in the immigration system your visa is active and expired without renewing it, and in their system it would show you're still in UAE illegally.
Even if you have the white sticker "cancelled" in your passport or previous residence visa, still it is not a guarantee that you're really cancelled by your previous employer. Again, it's in the computerized system of the immigration.

It may be that you quit your employment earlier than the required period and have been 'banned" and won't be able to get a new visa from anyone else for 6 moths (depending on the job), etc. As ASC said above the PRO for the new company should be able to sort it out. I know people that remained in dubai and do the "visa run" during the six month ban and work (illegally) until they are able to get a new resident visa. While illegal, many people work without a residence visa. But if you work for a dodgy company you will have no recourse if your salary is not paid!

Thank you guys for your reply.

The PRO will find it out for you.

Hi Yousuf, I dont know abt DIC, but in Jafza, if the employer sends a letter along with the visa cancellation form stating that either u are quitting before a year or what ever, u will get a ban...This wont be a LABOUR ban since you have not registered with labour, but an immigration ban....I know it sucks!!! To get around it..Let me check and will post again.....
