I have been working in Dubai for quiet some time now in different companies and I've noticed one thing common to all places - the lebanese, egyptians, syrians, palestenians at the work place are a boisterous lot. Messy, loud and foul mouthed, racist, rough and aggressive - come late to work and when they do come - do not do any work. Why are they surviving at the work place - you may ask. - Answer is simple - because management is same :-)
I never go to any shop where I see these guys at the counter. Very rude people. And many others have the same opinion.

A little bigoted in your view, however this is just 'Culture Shock'. I am afraid you may have to get used to the way some other people are. Its the downside of living in a multi-cultural environment.
