One of the most powerful political person on earth to date. Personally dont like him, he doesnt seem to be doing a great job for Russia, but then again, thats just me, and Im no Russian. The thoughts of his own people should weigh more.

One of the most powerful political person on earth to date. Personally dont like him, he doesnt seem to be doing a great job for Russia, but then again, thats just me, and Im no Russian. The thoughts of his own people should weigh more.

I am not Russian but I work in Moscow at the moment (5 more days left :)).
The only one Russian politician that I like is Peter the First. But I start liking Putin. He is doing a lot for the country!!! It is seen obviously! The problem is that the country is too big and there are billions of problem, of course, one man can't solve them all. He has already announced that he is not going to put his candidature for the next president election. Unfortunately. I am sure that more than a half of the population would vote for him. He gained their trust and they do like him because they see the improvment in their lives. I personally wish he stayed on the post because from all Russian politicians there is no one who can substitute him. valkyrie

Wish this war would finish soon, but it seems it will last forever. I talked to people who were there. What the media says and what is going on in reality are two different pictures.

He is actually doing a great job mopping up all the damage Yeltsin did to Russia and is bring the oligarchs into line, to look for Russian Interests and not private. Where i do have a problem with him is the heavy handed Chechen situation, although sometimes i do not know what the Chechens want either....haveing said that many in Europe and US have their hands dirty elsewhere anyway!
