Post-War Alcohol Ads in Lebanon

MaaaD Here are some post-war advertisements that major alcohol manufactures are running in Beirut. It really shows how we Lebanese make the most out of even the most devastating circumstances.
First, we'll start with Absolut.

In our rebuilding efforts, determination is key:

We also cannot forget when the Lebanese succeeded in putting enough pressure on the international community to force Israel to end its air blockade, whereby Lebanese aircrafts finally resumed service to Beirut International Airport:

Next, in the most controversial ad (I doubt that this one is actually running), Absolut marks the determination of the people of the dahiyeh. This is more sad than anything—in reality, more of the dahiyeh (southern suburb of Beirut) was destroyed than this ad represents:

Second, we cannot forget Johnnie Walker—known for its huge billboards throughout Lebanon.

After Israel hit the power plant in Jiyyeh, Lebanon, it prompted a huge gas shortage in Lebanon (gas which ended up in the Mediterranean Sea, causing an environmental catastrophe for sea turtles and other sea life). Nonetheless, the Lebanese keep walking:

Of course, we also cannot forget the countless bombs that Israel dropped on our beloved land (with bombs, artillery, and other fire, Israel hit Lebanon an average of 6,000 times PER DAY, and until today approximately one million cluster bomblets and other ordnance rest on Lebanese soil, causing over 15 civilian deaths SINCE the ceasefire—before which they killed over 1,000 people—mostly civilian, and over 1/3 children). Sorry, I digressed, back to the main point—they destroyed over 80 civilian bridges in Lebanon—contributing to their total of 630km of roads destroyed in a country that is only 225km long, yet we Lebanese keep on walking:

And, if you guys don't believe me that these billboards are actually up in Lebanon, if you have ever been to Beirut you will remember the classic Jonnie Walker billboard on the highway heading north from Downtown Beirut to Jounieh. Well, in its place look what we have now:

And here:
