Hi All
My company is looking to move me to Dubai.. which would be good on the whole. However I have a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) offence from the UK on my record ( ).
Will this be a show stopper?
Would my company find out during thr process (they are not currently aware of this... I was still able to do my job etc)
Aany thoughts much appreciated. Aare there any companys that I could ask this question who know the Imgration proecess etc.
Cheers

You don't have anything to worry about.

Having a clean driving license is not part of the recruitment issue here.
It might be interesting when you go to the Police station to get your UAE driving license to see if they even mention it. I bet they will just issue you with a UAE one straight off and that will be clean.
Good luck!

DK is correct.
You will only need to produce your photo card to exchange for a UAE . They do not require your paper licence so dont worry

It will not be a problem, however you should remember that in the UAE the Police follow a zero tolerance rule with regards to Drink Driving.
