Yup, those annoying orange meters scattered almost everywhere in Dubai now which the municipality earns a lot of money from, and even MORE from the people charged fines because of not having tickets...
Thankfully I do not need to use them on regular basis, but some of those machines do not work, it pisses me off to have to walk to the next machine, it's not the matter of the few extra steps that I make but the fact that the DM make a LOT of money out of those and the fines, yet they can't fix those machines...

Forget Dubai....they've popped up in Sharjah as well! >:( Anyway, i'm glad that I hardly take my car out anyway!
