With reference to Edd’s letter dated 21st March regarding school run Mum’s. How right he is to say that western expat women feel that they are beyond the reach of the law, daily I see these women attempting to drive and park their 4×4’s with blatant disregard for other road users! Having lived and worked in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and seem the exemplary driving there, maybe the UAE should take a leaf out of their book and make roads male only ? Just think of the number of off road vehicles that would be taken off of the roads here. Maybe that would be the answer to reduce the congestion, and then we may not have to install the proposed toll charges as the traffic would flow as it should! Another plus would be that these mothers could actually stay at home, spend more time with their kids and do the housework and therefore would be able to save money by relieving the maid of their duties. They would also be able to make further savings as their gym memberships would not be required as the housework would double up as a workout! We all know that women are good for cooking and cleaning, so come on girls, stay at home, help the community, help your family and
save money, all at the same time!! Brave enough to give my name!
