However, if you are smart shorts and light clothing will be best as the event (not meet) will be outdoor and it will be warm although it will progressibly get cooler (or hotter depending on your "luck"). 'So cancel the tuxedo or evening gown appointments. Liban I second that. We scouted the venue earlier on tonight. Lighter is better. Concord As with any "organization" (DFM) someone has to do "the heavy lifting". In this case and quite admirably DK, Constantine, and Arnie (in order of amount of physical sweat generated) made then entire event possible. Posts alone would not have produced such a great gathering. So specially to Dk, Constantine, and Arnie: Shukran, Thank You, Grazia, Origato, Gracias, Obrigado, Mercy [and thank you in chinese, Usbekistan, Serbian, Malasian, Canadian, Finish, etc. ). It was a pleasure to met you all. So you see, it ain't all about concrete shoes. But.. The A to Z will probably come to the surface later, but the venue was on a roof top overlooking Dubai Media City...cool sounds, great food, cold refreshments, lots of fans keeping it bearable and DF live on a big screen!
We reckon over 50 DF members were in attendance and everyone enjoyed getting to know everyone else...interesting who is really who behind the avatars!
There were speeches and prizegiving (see the other thread!) and short words from Arniegang and SmartD...
Liban was wearing a donkey jacket and carrying his whip of course!
Zooter saw many girls and was far from disappointed!
GAB was looking gorgeous and is nowhere near 50!
DK and Wafaey were there...with their girlfriends! Something you have no idea what it is!
Concord was looking smart, cool and sophisticated as a member of the DFM should!
