So was NYE as bad as everyone expected?
Did the lack of fireworks and live music dampen your spirits?
Tell us aboiut it.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Irish Village, which didn't seem to suffer any drop in participants despite no music, no fireworks and no organised countdown.
There was plenty of alcohol to drown one's sorrows and about a dozen opportunistic coutdowns to midnight, meaning a dozen more kisses than usual.

What do you mean 'no music'? There was certainly music coming from the IV that's for sure, ok not live, but still music. It was foggy anyway so no big deal about the fireworks.
Great night out, good friends, nice food, plenty to drink and everyone had a real nice time.

We canceled our beach BBQ and spent the evening at a friends house, we cooked a pleasant diner with music and drinks... later we went to Scarlet Emirates towers for the count down... it wasn't packed but the ambiance and atmosphere and music was wonderful... had a great time
I agree with Chocos, there was no point for the fireworks as it was very foggy
