This may not be something very weird or completely despicable for some folks here..but how would u react .. what would u feel when you
Go to a restaurant and Order Chicken Tikka Kebab
Kebab arrives n you start eating.
After 2 minutes you see blood seeping from the piece of chicken on your plate.
I found it very disturbing and objectionable. :|
Still fighting with nausea and trynna recover.

Maybe not me... but out little honeypot certainly caught quite a few bees.
I'm tempted to post some of the PMs except they keep getting funnier.
Back to the original post... chicken + blood is never a good mix. I'd freak out and send it back, refuse to pay and threaten to call the municipality.

Chicken is one of the 3 meats that spoil rapidly (the other being pork and fish) and is low in both sodium and iron content, hence the whiteness of the meat. By cooking it, but not thoroughly, you actually create a favourable environment for the rapid propogation of bacteria. Hence these meats should always be cooked properly (or in the case of Sashimi, eaten raw).
The iron richness in red blooded animals minimises the chance of these conditions to occur and hence is safer for consumption.
At least... that's what I've always thought.
Never eat undercooked chicken... you run the risk of food poisoning.

Gross but OK I guess.
It's semi-cooked food. Baiscally you want to avoid food being in any state where it will linger around 37 - 41 degrees. If it sits at this temperature for a mere 5 minutes, you already have massive bacterial propogation.
Food out of the fridge won't really hit this temp and therefore bacto propogation is slow... taking some time for food to spoil. But food brought down from cooking temperature does linger in this temp range.

I'm quoting this from the net....
Quote:
- Raw chicken can be contaminated with Campylobacter, Listeria, Salmonella, or other foodborne pathogens. These pathogens cause food poisoning and can be life-threatening.

Can I deduce that I am in considerable danger of food poisoning and/ or causing my life? I think i must go and vomit out what ever bit i ate..

Such is the veracity of salmonella that if you haven't got sick within 45 minutes you'll be fine.

Again from the net ...
Quote:
- Campylobacter is a bacterial pathogen that causes fever, diarrhoea, and abdominal cramps. It is the most commonly identified bacterial cause of diarrhoeal illness in the world. These bacteria live in the intestines of healthy birds, and most raw poultry meat has Campylobacter on it. Eating undercooked chicken, or other food that has been contaminated with juices dripping from raw chicken is the most frequent source of this infection.
How serious is Campylobacter food poisoning?
Prognosis of Campylobacter food poisoning: 200-800 deaths
Prognosis of Campylobacter food poisoning: Virtually all persons infected with Campylobacter will recover without any specific treatment. (Source: excerpt from Campylobacter Infections General: DBMD)
Deaths for Campylobacter food poisoning: estimated 500 deaths annually (DBMD)
Complications of Campylobacter food poisoning: see complications of Campylobacter food poisoning ....

There are instances where worms manage to incubate and develop in human's stomach over time. Make sure you dont feel swirmy in the next few days !
