I was wondering if you any of you could advice on this. Two of my mates have come down from outside and are working in Dubai. Now the thing is they recently shifted to some flat in Bur dubai and the last owner left it in a mess. Now they need to get it painted, but definitely have it cleaned as in the pest control people are gonna come and spray with whatever to make the flat clean.
Unfortunately I live with my parents and I have already taken their stuff due to which they cant be staying with me. I was wondering if any of u guys know how the system works here for hotels for residents. As they have their visa and stuff can they be allowed to stay in a three star hotel for a day. Because under my impression maximum of the hotels wont let as it is for tourists. If anyone can help then it would be appreciatable.

A bit of a rambling question but... there is no law as far as I know as to how long you can stay at a hotel. The problem is that it is expensive!
In fact every hotel would love if you stay there every day at their rate!

Of COURSE they can stay at any hotel they want. And yes, it is crazy-expensive.

Well thing is they dont need any high class five star hotel. Just a place to spend a night. Because you're a resident of u.a.e, u have to provide a valid reason to stay at a place because if the hotel suspects you, they might call the cops.
Because one of my office mate was sent to the cops. He came with his wife and due to the rent increase of their flat they had to move out which he somehow got a hotel for a night and next thing the CID came in and caught them and they were put to jail as in they were commiting a.d.u.l.t.e.r.y They had to get the marriage certificate to prove it and got out after a week.
My worry is if i can get them a hotel booking I just hope the managers dont call the cops on them because on some suspicious activity. They have been my friends since school and I can vouch on the fact they are not like they wanna go have a girl in their room. Maybe they might go to bar for a drink and any other intoxicated stuff they are not into it.

That's terrible what happened to your office-mate! Gawd! I think your mate was acting uneasy or awkward for the manager to suspect anything, but I don't know. Your two other mate's should have no similar issues, unless they're suspected of looking for the "other" kind of fun by some dumbass manager.

He didnt act in anyway stupid or awkward. Thing when upon investigation the managers changed shift and so did the bell boys and due to which the bell boys suspected and the previous manager is supposed to inform if any of this happens like keep a log on who is there and stuff but he forgot to mention which costed my office mate and his wife.
Plus as I told you these two guys are living a hard life and they are here in hopes of making something in Dubai. So in no way they are gonna do something bad.
