Hi,
I was working in 2000 in Sharjah but due to Employer abuse (he framed me)...I was given a 1 year ban on 2000.
Does this ban have an effect if I wish to come back to UAE to work?
Please help.

It means the Ban was in effect for 1 year. That is, one year from the date your visa was cancelled. As it is now 2007 you should have no problem with respect to the ban.

if you still have your passport, look at the cancelled visa. the ban is stamped on the page. it is in arabic, so if you cannot read it get someone to translate it (normally a small red rectangular stamp).
if the "frame" you are talking about resulted in a criminal case you may find that you have a permanent ban in your passport and not just one year!
