Just received the news my grandfather is confined in a hospital bec he had a heart attack. 2 weeks ago it was my grandmother rushed to the same hospital bec of heart attack too.
A tube is connected for his food intake. His vocal system would never work again as some veins are already blocked. They are not telling me everything, Im thinking he is already paralyzed.
I know they are old and thats where all gonna go...but cant help it, they werent bad people you know. Im afraid I havent treated them well...and now time is ticking....
I want to cry. But I cant. Its not gonna do anything. I want to go home. But I cant,sh!t. Damn life.

really sorry to hear about that ZAm...i too have grandparents...and i too would be distressed ...but why can;t you go home?...

When my grandmother was dying, I was in Brisbane working at the time. I received the phonecall she was on her deathbed and left work at 8 pm and drove straight to Yeppoon (800 klms). I arrived there at 7:30 am in the morning and walked into the room where my mother was beside the bed, and as soon as I walked in, my grandmother let our her final breath.
I truly believe she hung on waiting for me to get there, and whilst it was very sad and I was heartbroken, I am glad I got to see her one last time.

Also scheduled to fly to Iran tomorrow to be with my husband but its a different story as he is not dying but Iran is so near...now Im so confused! :oops: :cry: :oops:
