An empty beer can rolls down the street,
Like it's in a rush, someone to meet,
The gush of wind blowing it from left to right,
Until the noise and the empty beer can, rolls out of sight.
Today my soul is that empty can... banging,
Noisy, empty... clanging,
Down the empty streets, while the wind blows,
People pushing me about... to and fro
Like a drum, echoing in a hollow room,
Today all I can hear is boom boom boom,
They have sucked the life out me...
I thought I could hold on for a while, but finally,
They have emptied each room of my soul... its bare,
And today all thats left is somber, clanging banging there..
