whaaaat!!!! is this really a pay city now. Do you think 3 hrs is enough to finish all your business to the mall. Does it includes falling in line for the food, for the cinema ticket, paying ur bill, etc.
Why not give at least some extra hours for some shoppers who will spent certain amount?

I had heard before that if you have 'business' at the mall and spend money there then you would not have to pay. I hope they didn't change that, it would be very poor of them.

Okay, the reason they are imposing paid parking in these areas is because of the metro! So metro users don't go and leave their cars there all day.

if they will use that concept of showing your bill while leaving the parking, and giving you longer hours, then its ok. otherwise they must rethink about it. me personally will be affected, because im coming to dubai every weekend coming from abu dhabi, I eating my lunch, watching movie, having a cup of coffee with the friends, how many hours would that be??? at least 5 hours.

True. I also go to Ski DUbai alot, spend at least 2 hours there, then maybe food, movies etc etc.

That's the reason Choco. the system won't start before Sep 10- one day after the official opening of the metro. The charging sytem is pretty fair. You still dont have to pay for the first 3 hrs.

It makes sense to impose the parking fees due to the Metro, their will be a way to get your parking for free if you are using MoE only.

The charges are somewhat fair, however, they should should waive charges for people spending 100 dhs+, even if they pent 6 hrs inside...
