Hi there,
could we have a meets section where can discuss the timing and location of meets without worrying about lurkers?
It has been difficult organising the GNO due to fear of lurking. We have had this problem before too.
It should be off-limits to anyone who hasn't attended a meet before. Obviously public meets will be posted in the main forums, but for more private things like Karaoke, Birthdays, GNOs etc. it would be a good place for it.
Thoughts?

although i agree with you Ian - this is predominatly a "public forum". I see no harm in discussing these things openly but as long as people are aware of the need for a level of security, there should not be a prob.
Locations can be detailed via the pm system which is very secure.
If you remember we even applied this rule to the big DFM meet. I would suggest this rule be applied across the board.

I guess Pm is a very secure way of communicating, no one else has a access to it, so if we strictly follow rules there shudnt be any issues.

Relatively. You wouldn't put credit card details in there for example. Consider it as similar to email security - which is similar security level as writing on a postcard.
