Yes there are a couple MS around. In Wafi City & Festival City. The latter is bigger.

You've no idea how happy that makes me.
Very sad, I know.

on my last visit there, I went to grocery store on the bottom floor of the Mercato center. Does anyone know the name of this store?

Festival City M&S is the biggest in the middle east but don't get your hopes up too much.

Does it have any grocery section though?
dbxsoul
not sure. i know that m&s were given the run around when they opened with regards to bringing food products in. as they all have to be checked, expiry dates in arabic etc, etc. i'd heard a storey at the time, that a competitor didn't want to much competition and have used a connection at DM or the government to try and have all the imported food products pulled - so the eventually opened without a food offering.

Actually the biggest in the world outside the UK.
Food section a disappointment, despite the conspiracy theories it's probably just too expensive to ship the fresh goods over, they have a half-decent jar and tin selection though.

The food section is relatively small and is probably catering for the small number of M&S addicts who can't do without it and are prepared to pay a lot more than the local products.

Also Park and Shop - I have been to the one in Jumeira on Al Wasl. It is not big but it has some household brands that aren't carried in the other stores.
