Hey everyone,
I am currently looking for a job in Dubai for trainee/graduate vessel operations. I have looked up a few sites over the internet but they all seem to be fake as advise on the forums. Is there any maritime job sites out there?
I live in Australia so would that be a problem being hired by companies in Dubai?
Any feedback will be great :)

The type of position your seeking is usually filled by Indian or Far East nationals - the're cheaper and thats about all they offer.
Currently shore jobs in marine biz are almost non existant for expats and no company in UAE will pay/train expats. Many Aussie/Kiwi/Brits with extensive experience and quals get jobs in these places.
Dubai is also in recession big time, recovery in some sectors - marine will take a year or 2, prognosis for other sectors ie construction - terminal.
Other issue is most small/medium sized business operators in UAE, Arab and Expat alike are untrustworthy. You might be better of looking in Singapore, Indonesia or UK.
