Hello will some one know if there are civil engineering positions at Dubai I am a 22 years old student I am graduating on May 2009 and I was wondering if a design company is hiring for internships or permanent employment upon graduation. I have a year of experience in design.
I was wondering if there is a company at Dubai that could offerme a internship at?

Hi there,
Have a read through the posting above, Tips for working in Dubai. You need to be proactive in the Dubai job market, don't wiat for someone to offer you a position - especially if you have little Middle Eastern experience.
You need to make a list of prospective employers and actively market yourself.

Thank you for the information thats what I been doing I have been researching on design firm at dubai an I have been sending CV. My other question was Is there a Dubai visa for work , and another visa to go as student? Which will be easier to get? because I was also thinking on go finish my college over there and then will be easier to get a job at Dubai. Instead of looking for a work visa ... Thank you

Yes there are two separate items (a labour card and a student visa), you can only get a work permit/ labour card through an employer, you cannot simply apply to work in the country without an employer/ sponsor - the employer applies for the permit on your behalf.
A student visa allows you to study only; you may not work on it - even to support your studies in part!
Frankly speaking the standard of higher education in the UAE is very basic in comparison to what the US is. It would depend on you whether you felt comfortable with your final qualification being issued in the UAE.
