Why do we still prefer to stay in Dubai, amidst of all the crisis and difficulty that is happening here? Do we still hope that soon everything will be fine?

Because this is the only option for most of us.People knows they have no better opportunities back home in this crisis.Surviving with the hope that Dubai will recover soon with more better opportunities.

because most expats are still trying to finish loans, credit cards & debts owed from relatives/friends.
some stay because they're not affected at all -- instead they benefited more.
i know somebody working from a media company (Filipina) who's making AED 11k per month and got an offer from Du. Now she's making AED 18k. And I have an accountant room mate who's company closed in March but after 2 months her patience and perseverance paid off. In May she got a better job, above AED 10k w/ 50k housing allowance so she left us right away and moved to Discovery Gardens.
I guess we should not hope - instead, expect that everything will be fine. We don't know till when is this but there's no such thing as permanent.
We just need to be more optimistic and learn to manage our finances very well while economy is in the stage like that of "market correction"
