Hi,
Can anyone please let me know what average salary to accept? I'm looking for some administration, customer care or training manager job in Dubai.
My spouse will be joining me soon. We have been living together but we are not married. To avoid problems, can we simply say we're married? Will anyone check?
Thanks.
Tammy

If you are not married then he is not "your spouse". Having different names will be a btt of a giveaway.
The issue of checking i suppose is akin too driving without a licence, you may never get caught but if you do, you are feked.

Sorry if I offended you by saying he is my spouse.
See, in our country a couple living together for the time we have lived together is treated as a married couple by law. No differences. If we get separated you can really call it a divorce because you can ask for half your apartment, money etc (ofcourse, that you earned together)... after all, we have two kids together and it seems ridiculous calling him a "boyfriend".
Thanx anyway.
Tammy
PS As I see Maria from Sweden called her boyfriend her spouse too (march 1st in the forum) so I guess in some parts of Europe this is common. Although, literally and technically, you are right! :D

well, if he is arriving, and bringing your children with it will raise some interesting questions at immigration regarding how you will be going to sponsor them (to stay in the country). i seem to remember having to produce a marrige certificate to sponsor my wife, which again had to be produced to sponsor my daughter...

Our kids are not joining us. Guess we'll have to keep a low profile like many other couples that are not married but live together.
Thank you very much.
