Hi, My husband and I are considering Dubai for a holiday in August, we are considering the Jumeirah Beach Hotel but we have heard that there is a lot of construction work going on in this area, would you have any comments on this or any suggestions to make our holiday an enjoyable one.
Thanks

Jumeirah Beach is fine and away from the construction work, which is mainly happening in the Marina.
It's a fantastic hotel so definitely you should stay there.

Hi, thats great to hear, we are planning on staying for 8 nights, is there anything you would recommend we definately do while there? I hear the shopping is good, any items in particular of very good quality?
Mr & Mrs Inquirer
Why would you want to spend your hard earned money on holiday in Dubai?

August is quite possibly going to be the hottest month. With yesterday tipping 47 degrees on the thermometer, I don't see it being much cooler.
Therefore the only activity I can suggest is... shopping - and perhaps snow skiing if you're into that.

Hi, both of us love the sun lucky enough but the snow skiing sounds interesting i have always wanted to go on a skiing holiday, it might be a good days trip out, i gather its not too far away from the hotel/tourist area, how would we go about getting information on it?

Well aren’t you funny.
As soon as they walk out of their hotel the will see even more on the roads, will you try and deny this very sad fact?.
P.s check the price of the "designer goods" in the shops in Dubai and you will find that they are only marginally cheaper than in the E.U. :(

Welcome to planet earth.
That's right, don't come to Dubai because the traffic is bad. In fact, don't go anywhere traffic is bad... stay away from:
* Dubai
* Cairo
* Beirut
* London
* New York
* Los Angeles
* Sydney
In fact... just stay at home, in bed, with the cover pulled up over your head.
