Chocoholic er contact details? Phone numbers/email/webiste. General info, cost etc etc. Misery Called Life Hey what kinda training do ya need to fly those light red bull planes? What are they called? Chocoholic Are you talking about the ones for the Air Race? Or the ones for the Flug tag which people invent and make? AR - loads, most of those pilots are ex-airforce or aerobatic pilots. Flugtag - erm you invent your craft to the strict Red Bull specs, enter and if you're picked, get some mug to sit atop it to plunge into water. Misery Called Life Yaa the ones for the air race? Is there any way I could learn that kinda flying? Chocoholic Well you'd have to do your PPL first (Private Pilots Licence) and then find somewhere that has aerobatic planes and instructors capable of teaching. They were going to do it at UAQ aeroclub until the ditzy sheikh decided to go against the ATC and CAA and take off without permission and got the place shut down! bonk
The one in the Philippines? Why post here? Misery Called Life To be able to fly acrobatically sounds so damn cool...but I don't know how feasable it is. It's probably super costly and I'll have to relocate....think I'll confine this dream to fantasyland for now. On the other hand there's something else that's giving me sleepless nights. Kite Surfing! Now that's something I wanna get down to ASAP! Chocoholic Hahaha well I guess the best training for aerobatics is spending time on a rollercoaster, getting used to pulling G's and trying not to throw up! Now kite surfing is easily done here I have a few mates that do it, they teach it on a couple of beaches. You have to lear kite control first - obviously, with a baby kite, then move onto the bigger ones. I'd recommend doing a bit of wakeboarding first to learn board control aswell.
