I think the hotel can’t operate as “hotel” due to high demand of transit passengers waiting for the employment visa etc. And going back to the Philippines for visa run is too expensive; hence, most of our kabayans prefer to exit in neighboring countries such as Iran. However, I find it odd for passengers paying to the hotel even if you didn’t check in. What struck me in your blog is the handing over of passport upon check-in. I don't know what to say but feel sad. Making business at the expense of other people.
