Hi,
I am already working in Dubai in a non free zone company. I would like to know the following
If i resign from my current company then i will get a 6 month ban.
With this 6 month ban, can i join a free zone after resignation. Is a candidate entitled to join a free zone despite having a ban. I know i can't join a dubai company but are free zones open to me in this situation.
Is an NOC required from my previous employer in this case?

how long have you worked for your current employer?
the ban between moving from normal emplyment in dubai to the FZ will still be in effect.
Think of the Freezone Authority as just another employer in Dubai, it will would your sponsor for the labour card, not the company employing you in the FZ - to this end the ban will still be in effect.
Transfering between companies in the FZ is easier as the labour sponsor (the Freezone Authority) is the same company, so it is seen as a transfer under the same sponsor by the labour department - and not a transfer between companies.
You require a NOC as well as having had worked at least two full years with your current employer to avoid the ban.
