hi, ive been offered a position in dubai as 2nd line support engineer..
Dhs 17,250 per month is this any good?

I would say that is good for a support role.
What short of product / platform are you supporting? That makes a difference.
£2400 a month would be the same as 40 Grand a year within the UK tax system.

supporting an office of 40 people...supporting win xp platform and all ms office products incl outlook, and mobile devices such as pdas and blackberries

i am REALLY confused!
the things that u support can be done by a JUNIOR support staff. heck i support 300 computers during my college days.
why would any company hire some dude from the UK for this sort of job?
i mean its nothing personal. u could be excellent in your job for all i know. i'm just confused why would anyone wanna spend that sort of money!
