I just want to know if you think it is safe to keep your money in Citibank's saving/current/deposit accounts in UAE...
Moreover, in general, will UAE goverment 'protect' or 'compensate' the customer's money in an event that a local/foreign bank operating in UAE having problem/bankruptcy?

I wouldn't recommend keeping ALL ur money in Citibank .... move a part of it to other nationalised banks... if u r from India... move it to India... where the banks are much safer during the recession ...
it would be risky to put all ur eggs in one basket ... just my thoughts :)
