I'm evaluating a job offer - need advice

Noham Hi Everybody, I'm a Senior Technical Writer and I got a job offer at a software company at DIC and really would like to know the market average for such a position in Dubai to be able to evaluate the offer properly. Highly appreciating the help. Thanks, Noha Magdy Cairo, Egypt.
devilsdiciple Hi Noham!!! First welcome to DF!!! There is nothing like a market average!!! Salaries vary from person to person, nationality to nationality.... So if you give us a ball park figure maybe we can help... Else browse in here and you will find answers to most of your q??? Even the ones you didint know!!!..LOL XRW-147 Thanks for providing a heap of info for us to work with. Taking the info you have provided and after careful market evaluation I can conclusively provide an adequate answer. The range you seek falls between "not much" and "okay". sage & onion
and could be a little better    Noham Hey guys... What a help :) Thanks anyway for the effort... As for the info, they're talking in the range of AED 11.000 and 12.000 a month, including accommodation allowance. They also offer a full medical insurance plan. So, I was thinking with the high rates of housing rentals in Dubai, this offer will not be worthy, taking into consideration, relocation expenses, car, high-cost of living in Dubai, etc. So, I thought with that salary, there won't be much of saving and it would be better to stay with my current job in Egypt. However, I'm still negotiating and thought knowing about Technical Writers salaries in Dubai won't hurt. Appreciating the help in advance. Best Regards, Noha XRW-147 Noham, Getting better but what you need to consider is whether you will be able to maintain the standard of living as back home. For instance, if you currently live close to your work and the rent is decent you need to figure out whether it's feasible to be in the same position as here. Without knowing your standard of living I would say generally on 11-12k/month its not impossible.
