Such a nice day, i think i will get up early go and insure/test/register my car and get some serious sun/pool time by the time the sun comes around :D
Go to Tasjeel @ Barsha to test car etc, car test a piece of cakeand passed :D , skips into office and take ticket, look at number then peer upto electronic counter. Sharp intake of breath and arhhhhhh nooooooooooo please, the queue was horendous, like 120 infront of me. :twisted:
Chill, me thinks, ah i go to the insurance office to kill some waiting time and sort my insurance out. Open door to office and another sharp intake of breath, wait patiently for 10 mins nudging my way past the hoards. Great, within earshot of speaking to man behind counter. I politely ask about my car insurance.
In between speaking to me and 10 others who are now crushing me against the counter, taking multitaking to the limit, i finally get a great fully comp quote costing less than last year. Mr Multitasker say "come back nearer your time i very busynow ".
Ah Ah i think the queue wil have gone down now, lets see how many now? - wrong :? Well it had, by 2 :twisted:
Plan B.... Ah i will goto Jebel Ali Testing station, i bet it will be much quieter/quicker there. Go back to insurance office and ask Mr Multitasker (now dealing with 15 men shoving papers in his face and i ask, "is it the same broker/ins office in Jebel Ali, he says "yes you can do there and it is much quicker" :D
Sorted, off i drive to Jebel Ali heading towards Gate 5, getting stuck at Gates 2,3 and 4 on the way :?
Go into office with Test Cert in hand and BINGO...... just 6 people sat there waiting for typing 8)
No one at insurance office 8) Mr Happy goes to insurance counter
"I want to insure my car fully comp insurance please?"
wait for it....................
"sorry sir we dont do fully comp for your car here" :evil: :evil:
...."but your other office in Barsha said" .........
"can you ring them and organise via them and i pay you and you give me certificate?"
"yes sir, i ring them sir and then they can fax form here"
yessssssssssssssssss, result :D

... "sir, i cannot do this as the police require the Original and wont accept faxes, you have to goto Barsha Office and do there"

Why are you rich folks running around renewing your own car reg? I pay a company called Midland Cars to come and pick up my car, do the testing, reg and insurance, and return it in a few hours to wherever I want. All for 200 bucks. And I used them even when I was making four-figures a month. Hell, they even saved my money by getting me low insurance rates from a non-Tasjeel-stall company.
