from dec to march im just staying in a 4* hotel, will cost £6000 or 39,000AED for the time but what can you do?
in that time i want to find a suitable place to rent, or house share with a fellow brit moving for work. i am typical white british, 24.
can u find an 'average' place for 65,000AED? i have no idea as my company has sorted the hotel out

thanks for looking 141 people, but you could reply, tho i realise there is nothing interesting to say, but i need advice now:
i can live anywhere in the area, from jebel ali to diera, it doesnt matter as my work is travelling anyway.
i hope to rent a room off expats in a villa somewhere, but so far im not sure how to get a response from them, are any of you expats looking to rent a room to a englishman here on busines for a year?
my alternative, is looking through the classifieds section, there are alot of rooms, apartments or villa's to rent, but i hope to rent off expats rather than the locals if u know what i mean, no offense!
i just dont want to end up in a 'room' somewhere with no access to expats, such as the bur dubai area i am in at the moment.
rent is not a problem, its just finding a good place, so if you have any advice on where to look or how to go about it that will be appreciated.
also, i have looked at the boards in spinneys, but nothing really to my standard is available. "room to let, would suit 2 working girls" is a common ad. working girls, does that mean whores in a drugs den?
thanks in advance

your best bet would be the Gulf News if you've already been looking at the boards at Spinneys, etc

Mate,
Send me a private message with a bit more detail about yourself.
I've leased a brand new apartment, and the 2nd bedroom is empty.
The building is great, with pool, gym etc. In the Greens where you'd be surrounded by expats (they all seem to be living here, in the Springs and Dubai Marina).
I chose this place as it is near to "New Dubai" where most of my colleagues socialise, near to my work, and is all low-rise with a community feel.
Until later,
