Eat 5-6 small meals a day....
Limit ur intake of carbs, if you don't really exercise much
Drink green tea - increases metabolism
Take up an activity that you enjoy......
Incorporate nuts, cereals and oatmeal in your diet.
Remember these rules
1. Eat plants wit abandon
2. Use meats only as garnish
3 Show some love for legumes
4. indulge wisely
And remember when you eat is as important as what you eat, and the Fat will fall away
1. Eat within an hour of waking up
2. Eat every three hours after breakfast
Chocoholic
Don't eat late at night, eating after around 6pm is a big no no.
Reduce your carbs and high saturated fats.
Eat more protein.
Try and get more activity in your life, it's good for you. Even if it's just a gentle stroll around the block once a day.
sharfraz
then chocs,
what do you call a dinner?
or
you mean to say just supper is enuff

As the guys above both said, you need exercise as well as change to your diet. Just about everything I ever read says it, except those advertisements for weigh loss products or stomach stapling (please don't do that!!!) ;)
sharfraz
anything without exercise and change in your diet is helpless for losing a few pounds!!!!

Well if you eat late at night, your body tries to digest during sleep, you feel bloated and restless, it's not good and actually messes with your motabolism.
As a general rule, I always say everything in moderation. There's no point denying yourself things as you'll onyl crave them. Little and often is another good ruloe as it keeps your metabolism ticking over. Smaller portions, more fluids, lower carbs, but not no carbs as you need them and fats for your body to work properly.
Cut down on unhealthy snacks, reach for a piece of fruit instead.
Boil, steam, grill, oven cook food instead of frying.

Eat fat to lose fat....in other words, keep your omega 3, 6 & 9 well topped up.
Saturated fats are the enemy.... polys are not

Reducing weight without exercise is like asking for money without doing any work.
Either you're born with a fast metabolism (or inheritance) or your not.
If you're not part of the lucky club, get off your ass fatty!

I don't 'do' diets! Don't believe in them, they are a short term solution. I believe in eating a balance diet and doing moderate exercise. But lucky me I've always been slim.
I actually look better with a few more kilos, as I can err on the side of too skinny.

Exercise is a necessity for most....true.
But they say body conditioning is 90% diet and 10% cardio.
Sensible diet + regular exercise = fat loss

She's hot. Why do you call yourself a plain Jane?
Can you speak German like she does?
Back on topic: I recommend eating buckwheat, quinoa, and amaranth as well as lovely veggies. For example, quinoa has carbs, high fiber, protein, iron, some calcium and fat, and other minerals and vitamins. Amaranth has even better nutrition value than quinoa!!!!
What's your ancestry anyway? It's best to eat the healthy foods of your ancestors. I'm being serious here.
Buckwheat (kasha)
Quinoa
Amaranth

Sounds a great way to live, I love a fry-up occasionally. I had a middle-aged friend in UK whose wife cooked him a full English every morning for years. You could actually see a thin ring of white on the edge of the iris in his eyes where cholesterol was collecting!!!! He didn't really have an affinity with exercise though, so his own fault. :D

Oh dear. The ancestry question was directed at the OP. :D I read one way of healthy eating is eating your ancestors foods. For example most Asians could stay away from milk, non-Italian descent could go easy on pasta, etc. I don't know how true that is but the Spaniards messed up the indigenous Latin American diet and lots of Chinese have diabetes now. I wouldn't necessarily blame it on a Western diet since there is healthy Western food like BUCKWHEAT common in Russian/Eastern European diet or Oatmeal (Scottish), barley, lamb's lettuce (aka corn salad, mache).
Furthermore when I say ancestors, I don't only mean ethnicity but OUR ancestors. I try to eat as I think my great-parents did. I recommend the OP does his/her own cooking so you KNOW what you're eating.
So basically, I hope the OP can learn what his/her body can handle.
I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but I do try care for my body as best as I can eating grains, free-range chicken, non-homogenized grass-fed milk, grass-fed beef, game, nuts, berries. Yes, I do eat Asian foods too. I like millet, kimchi, rambutan, and lychees.

Our grandparents ate healthier veggies and meat. Their fatty foods were healthier too. They were more physically active. They weren't wimps.
I eat that kind of breakfast too. Not everyday but on weekends. I had baked beans all week. Anyway on weekends I cook a plate of eggs, bacon or sausages or both, grits, home fries (potatoes), and tomato with a glass of grapefruit or tangerine juice. Sometimes I have an omlette.
I have a little whiskey or cordial at night.
I hardly get sick. If I do, I drink tea and eat soup. Normally I hate tea but it helps when ill.

Why skip the exercise - you can't get happy endorphins from cutting back your diet only. Why be slim and feel crappy when you could be slim and feel great?

well for that You need to look over the menu You're Taking 24/7.... n I would say take some walk!... it's an light excersise for our body!.... Atkins is only a quick-fix. People like to see the weight come off quickly, but without an actual lifestyle change that you can live with for the rest of your life, the weight just comes back and even increases!

you can't really change life style without changing the people you hang out with or live with. you will only continue doing bad habits unless you get to know or live with someone of the same sought lifestyle

Not eating any sugary or fatty food, also avoiding low fat products as they are usaually packed with fat! Breakfast is a must, and it should be the biggest meal of the day! Dinner should be the smallest and your lunch medium size-it is all about portions! Most of the people feel hungry in the evening as they are insufficient with their calories during the day ( usually by skipping brekfast and having only small salad for lunch!) Snacking in between meals is very important (you shouldn't leave more than 3-4hours gaps in between your meals/snacks!) Avoid drinking alchol, fizzy drinks and increase your water intake-2-4 litres of water is a must!
All of this will speed up your metabolisam so you will daily burn more calories-only following this you could burn 2-4kg a month!
Of course, exercise is always a bonus, adding muscle increases your metabolisam even more and help you to melt that fat much faster!
