Today was the second day in a row of 112 degrees in this desert. Absolutely aweful!!!!!!!!! But with only 10% humidity though. I remember July/August was THE WORST time in Dubai with temps over 110 degrees and over 70% humidty. That makes it a 1000 times worse than here.
dude91x
you mean 110 Fahrenheit yes ?
Speedhump
not Celcius, you'd be a puddle of gore.
Speedhump
Hi K-Dog, it's only been around the 100 so far (40 C.). And sometimes humid as you say. That's what makes you feel exhausted and sticky. Still, I'd take 40 degs and 65 pct over Hong Kong's normal summer 30 degs and 80-90 pct! :D

Oh FGS! You live in the bloody desert!!!! What were you expecting?
Speedhump
Did I say at all that I was complaining. Hungover as usual I guess.....

You are assuming too much again... :P
As her post was after mine and I live in the desert too I assumed the lass was talking to me. I could have been wrong but the point is moot!
She actually mentioned neither of our posts....dust those 'cake' crumbs from your shirt (and put them in an envelope with my address on please....) :D ;)

25 to 35 degrees at max. during summer. Its a temperature that just gets me started. One of the reasons I'm leaving this place soon.
Coming your way Sage. The humidity might be annoying though. ;)
Nothing I can't handle. Bring it on.

Yea but the rice has this pleasant aroma. This cooker when opened comes with the stench and saline taste of human sweat!
Ewww, what a thought!
Speedhump
You two are talking rubbish! :P
It's not that steamy in Dubai except maybe some evenings, and the air in Dubai doesn't taste and smell of sweat except in labour camps, lifts and taxis....
Get a grip people!!! :D :D

LADIES,LADIES! Clearly the heat is getting to you. RobbyG get your head out of the rice maker its not the same! Get over here and experience it first hand! We are waiting for you hon.

Oh man ,it's so hot in Dubai !!
So hot that I think I might fry !!
I'm dripping with sweat ,
Very humid ? You bet !!
I just wish that this heat was bone dry !!
Oh man , it's so hot in this land
Turn the heat down and it would be grand !!
It isn't much fun,
When the temp tops a ton !
But it's moisture I really can't stand!!
Oh man , it's so hot in Oman,
Where can I buy a good fan ?
It's topping one twenty!!
I tell you that's PLENTY!!
Too hot to lie down for a tan !!
Oh man, it's so hot in Bahrain ,
I'd love to see cloud and some rain,
When I'm home in UK,
I'll say rain is OK ,
Cos this heat is just doing my brain !!

Hey guys,
what do you think is more unbearable:
30-35 degree (celsius) and 90-95% humidity (like in e.g. Singapore) OR
40-45 degree (celsius) and max. 65% humidity (like in Dubai)?

I want to bring my cats to Dubai when i properly move here, but this weather is going to kill them!

it's really not that bad. 2 summers for me here now and yes, it is hot and humid but get yourself down to the beach, there's a breeze.
For the experienced Dubai'ers out there, is this summer a bit mild or I am I just getting used to it?
Cats are more accepted here than dogs, they'll be cool! You'll all enjoy it (from a dog owner)
