They say happiness is a relative state of mind. Some of us would be happy living in a tent, while others would be miserable living in a palace. What’s really the meaning of happiness. Is it a balance between need and satisfaction? Or between that which we desire and that which we receive? Is it having a loving partner? A sports car? A fat bank account? A healthy beautiful body? Diamond Jewelry ????.…
However we define happiness, one thing is for sure: We know it when we don’t have it. True or Not??
In any case, how do you rate how happy you are??
On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the happiest!!!
:D :D :D

On the happy scale of 1 to 10, I reckon I am a 5...
However I find "being happy" to be so momentary...the state of joyfulness is so much better i.e. - a feeling of euphoria for life that does not get altered through emotions, circumstances etc
Or maybe I am just a stoic at times with unalterted emotions and unmoved by joy or grief....
Hence I did rate my self as 5 presumably in your scale worded as "Just feeling fine" 8)

You don't say how happy you are Tom Jones. Anyway are you the singer or the book?
I'd say I'm 7. Not much upsets me. I would like more money. I think money is important to happiness at least in my case. I love traveling, good food, and taking classes... all involve money. I also like paying things on time and having no debt. If I could have a rich husband with my humor, good *cough*, and a couple of healthy kids then I'd be a 9.5.

I reckon I'm at about 2 at the moment, although don't think I've ever been above 5.

1 (one) (un). Bitter year of poop and discontent. Met some good folks here though, I rate them a 10.

As the saying goes, a rich man is one who has everything he desires. Two ways to approach this one, either try to have everything, or try to desire nothing.
I'd say, on a good day Im an 8, usually more like 6. Dubai can be a miserable place at times.

Yup right now I'm about a 3. I spend alot of time being 9/10 as I'm pretty positive but I've had a hellish day. Am SO ANNOYED with this country's naturalisation and residency services right now. But anyway, tomorrow will be better.

Glad to see there is one very happy person in here (Arnie)!
Well,..I’m about 3-4.
Still depressed over the big bundle I lost this year in the stock market and in 2 miserable hedge funds --which means I have to stay over here a little longer than I had hoped for (YUK….!!!)

Thanks mate, i have been saying the same for the last 18 months, but certain people (here) were insisting that no one could know.
I gave everyone the same advice in 2007 and 2008 in that they would be fools to buy. With hindsight i was correct, and indeed anyone who has bought since 2007 will have lost an awful lot of money.
I even told Chocs both on here and via PM to not purchase in The Cube. Sadly she ignored my advice.
My next prediction is the rental market will collapse during 2009, as more off plan completions continue to flood the already flooded market.

You have seen my PM. Drop the overt content. You have the option to edit these posts yourself, I advise you to do so.
Alternately, go play on the freeway or find another forum to sully with your juvenile posts.
