Hi From Your Newest Member

natalie8 Hi all. I just joined today. I'm moving to Dubai on the 31st, only 9 days away now. I have been living in Thailand for one month short of four years, the first three in Bangkok and the last one in Phuket. I'm really looking forward to being in Dubai and to meeting some expats over there. I'm happy to give you folks any info on travelling to Thailand, especially Bangkok and Phuket. :D

Any hip bars and clubs to go? natalie8 I just saw now that you have a New Members section. I looked for it but I didn't see it. Could a mod move this over there please? As for bars, sorry, I can't help you. I'm not a bar person. I'll find out about that restaurant. Is it Thai? There are LOADS of great restaurants in that area. Yum yum. St.Lucifer Welcome !! Dont worry abt posting here.. There are lots of thugs and wanna b thugs around (some may include the poster himsef on the list) but dont be intimidated... :) :D May the force be with u. gezza

Yes, local. Its ont he left side when you turn into Soi 1. I am sure its Soi 1 but I could be wrong. Its popular and posh in a local way.
Please recommend more popular local restuarants. Must be clean. Must speak Englsih. Thanks. studstar welcome natalie orik

So you want restaurants that are clean AND have English speaking staff? Boy you ask for alot. natalie8 [quote="orik"]
Those are pretty huge questions. It depends on alot of different things, such as location, for one. Places like Phuket and Koh Samui are overpriced, even by western standards.
You can get a good range in Bangkok, depending if you live in a "local" or touristy area. Chiang Mai and the north are pretty cheap and pleasant. BabyDoll
Is that a no then? natalie8 No, it's not a no. Let me know when you'll be going to BKK and I can help you out. BabyDoll
First week of Feb. natalie8 Sounds good. How about you PM me and we can catch up that way. Let me know where else you're going and how long etc. and I'll give you some good tips. :)
