Guys,
Does anybody have any "contacts" or wasta in Honda UAE?
I really want a nice, new CRV but can't wait 3 months to get rid of my rental!
Any ideas?

Sadly, waiting is the price of a new car here. I had to wait some time for a Z, and Scarlet has to wait about 6 weeks for her new wheels.
Wasta can do many things, but it can't make the boat go faster.

Welcome to buying a new car in Dubai. 3 months is just about standard for Honda, toyota and nissan (most of the ranges they have). Not much you can do about it I am afraid. Your only option is to go and look at other manufacturers and see if they have anything in stock. If you want a CRV, then you have to wait.

My friend went for a Kia Sportage over a CRV. Was delivered in a week. THough I dont know if Kia keeps a lotta cars or the boat just came in.

Guys,
I just can't let myself get a Kia nor Hyundai. I hope you know what I mean...
Honda and Subaru were the main choices, and after test driving a Forrester and finding it quite bland, I am opting for Honda.
I feel like everything in Dubai involves incredible amounts of waiting. Maybe this is what I needed... to slow down and get back to reality.
Perhaps I should go 2nd hand? How much would 2nd hand cost, with 1 year and 15000 km if brand new with new look costs:
82 standard
90 fancy
98 fncy +leather
Is it advisable to buy new, or are new-ish used cars also reliable?

Considering I haven't seen even one new CRV on the road till now, I doubt you'll find a used new-shape one.
