richiec Hiya Guys N Gals... I'm looking to visit Dubai for a holiday in July....I know it will be hot, but just how hot? Will everyday be sunny? (silly question) LOL. I will be visiting alone so will this be ok? What can I do alone? I can't get my mates to go due to time off work for them so I have given up and will go alone. I can't wait though! I will go for B&B so prices on eating out at lunch and dinner at decent Arabian/Asian eateries will be appreciated? Many Thanks Richie!
KageofSoul Hi there Richie. I just thought I'd let you know... if you're coming here midsummer for the first time... you'll fry... seriously. When I came first from London back in 2001, it was like winter and damn was it hot... But y'know what... that's why we got AC. So just as long as you're indoors most of the time... you'll be fine. As for what there is to do... unlimited options, even Skiing. Yes... a Skiing resort in the middle of the Desert. Well... not exactly in the middle of the dessert but you know what I mean. Well, I can't be too sure on exactly what you're looking for. But when it comes to holidays, you can't go wrong with Dubai ^_^ That is unless... Dubai goes wrong with you. But that's another story... dubailover Richie, If you can hold out until the end of the year then wait for the Shopping Festival, itll be well worth it! gtmash
Not really. benwj
Ditto.
The "shopping festival" is pure Dubai hype.
One good thing about coming in July is the hotel prices. Less than 1000 euro for a week at a 5* beach hotel with airfares.
It IS hot, but it won't kill you. Although walking around the city during the day should be avoided.
As a rule of thumb, restaurants in the hotels are more expensive, but still cheaper that the UK, and if you want something more authentic there are plenty of resturants in the city that are good and very cheap. richiec [quote="dubailover"]Richie,

Heat....well I have been to India in June about 45c! I know about the ski centre looks awesome.....to cool off! :P xty Definitely you'll be limited to malls hoping. You can't do anything outside, especially in the desert, even at night it's still too hot & humid. richiec As long as it is no colder than 40c?
