Im a 22 year old irish girl moving to dubai in august/september of this year after i finish up my degree in may...dying to get away from the cold and rain!
Just wondering, what are the best companies to apply for jobs in? Does anyone know what it is like to work for emirates airlines?
Also (being irish), I like my drink...is it a huge problem to buy drink in dubai, or should i just stock up in the airport??!
Finally, would love to get in contact with irish people over...will be a lonely first few months im sure & id love to know some people over there before i head...

search around a bit and most of your answers will be answered. idont work for emirates airlines so cannot comment on it:). but u will get a reply soon.

Emirates have a career's link on their website. I've known loads of trolley's over the years, some like it and some don't. I know the one's from UK Ire. etc. love the weather though.
There's plenty of craic to be had. Loads of bars and loads of paddy's. You'll walk straight into a great social circle with Emirates and you'll be partying almost straight away with some of the people you meet in training college.
There's off-licence drink available, but once yo're flying you'll be able to pick up drink for next to nothing duty free.

Sure ya might as well try it. I did.... took me longer than I expected to get meself sorted but I am now... Just dont expect people to be throwing job offers at ya unless you have 50 million years experience... well that was my experience anyway!!! :roll:
But sure come on out and you'll get many a pint of the black stuff in may of the Irish pubs over here.... sure we're feckin' everywhere!!!! :lol:
