when a writing a reply i noticed that the topic heading disappears. It is possible to keep a view of the heading.

That would need a bit of hacking into the script files and depend on the admin's knowledge of PHP and databases - or whoever he/she depends on for forum maintenance.
Unless there's an easy modification already available from phpBB but even they can be awkward to get set up sometimes.
